Type one diabetes (T1D), also known as juvenile onset or insulin dependent diabetes, typically it is diagnosed in infants, children, and a young adults. It is caused by environmental and genetic factors, but unlike the more commonly discussed Type 2 diabetes, lifestyle factors do not contribute to its onset. Currently there is no cure for T1D, The only reliable and safe treatment for T1D involves administering insulin via injections or a pump.
